The Suprastor SB stainless steel tank is designed to work well with the Apricus solar collectors. It has a copronickel heat exchanger coil in the bottom of the tank that transfers heat from the collector into hot water. It is boiler ready, equipped with a second heat exchanger in the top of the tank for back up heat when the sun doesn't shine. It provides maximum heat transfer of solar energy into hot water. The ultra se is the same stainless steel tank and heat exchanger with an electric back up. They come in three sizes; 60 gallons, 80 gallons, or 119 gallons. SRCC og300 certification is pending and will apply to federal tax credit when connected to an Apricus solar evacuated tube array.
The contender is a glasslined tank with the same design as the ultra. The heat exchangers are enamel flow coated instead of cupronickel the sb is boiler ready and the se has an electric backup. They also come in three sizes. 50 gallons, 80 gallons or 119 gallons.
This stainless steel tank is unique. It has the boiler attached to the tank and is PVC ventable. It can burn propane or natural gas. It is 95% efficient. It is solar ready with a cupronickel heat exchanger in the bottom and a second exchanger in the top for boiler back up when the sun does't shine. It is a stanalone system. It comes in two sizes, 80 gallons and 119 gallons and 130,000 Btu’s or 199,000 Btu’s. There is no need for an extra storage tank because it has rapid recovery when you need more hot water. This is the system to use when space is limited.
Apricus also carries a line of storage tanks. These tanks are glass lined with no heat exchangers in them. They are a good quality storage tank for potable water and work well with apricus evacuated tube arrays. They are ASME rated.
